Shows 2008
New Year's Eve - the last show of the year and what a show it was! Cardy & Coke played to yet another full house and, as usual, put on a great performance. From the beginning with our anthem, Okie to the final "Absent Friends" the dance floor was full, the party poppers went, the balloons popped and everyone had a thoroughly good time. I am sure our pictures, once again by courtesy of Pat and Carol, show how much the evening was enjoyed.

Christmas Eve - nearly the last show of the year and what a show it was. Blake and Brazil are a firm favourite at Nettlebed and tonight theypulled out all the stops and the packed audience loved every minute of it. Old faithfuls like Okie brought the house down and several different numbers had the same effect. The Fields of Athenry sung by them, joined by Pete's son Carl, was absolutely amazing . Carl had a rare night off from his tours with James Blunt and we were pleased to welcome him to our Club. Thanks a lot Pete and Jimmy - as usual you were top class. Father Christmas came (courtesy of Ron) and gave everyone a present It was also good to see Jane & Cynthia and Jane's Mum, Beryl - we all had a wonderful night.

December 13th - Curtis Magee - we felt we had Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve all rolled into one as Curtis played to a huge crowd at Wallingford last night. As usual Curtis played his heart out and the crowd loved him. Gay Gordons, Sweet Caroline, Merry Go Round Jingle Bells Auld Lang Syne, you name it, he played it. A normal 11.30. finish ended up at 12.15.a.m. and everyone was still dancing. Thank you Curtis and thanks to all of you for the cards and presents - you really are a great crowd and as we always say without you there would'nt be us. It is easy to put a show together but you are the folk who make it swing. Our photos show enjoyment all round and I am sure there will be something later today on YouTube - keep watching on nettlebedaccipiter (link on left)

December 6th - We have had many really good nights at Nettlebed and last night was no exception. Nathan Carter had been with us before and everyone wanted to see him again. They were not disappointed as Nathan, with his wonderful voice and young charm, absolutely wowed Nettlebed. The dance floor was full all the time with arms waving to "Home to Donegal" and with beautiful slow numbers too. My favourite, of course, was "Come Back Paddy reilly to Ballyjamesduff" - Nathan remembered that and sang it for me. It was really nice to welcome a new crowd from Oxford - we hope to see you all again. Together with all of our loyal supporters we had a great night - thank you Nathan - we look forward to seeing you at Bracklesham in February. Our pictures show Nathan with his Nan who is always there for him and, also with five year old Ellie Gosby who really loved the show. Thanks for the champers Ellie & Charlie - we'll drink to you at Christmas.

South Downs Bracklesham Bay November 14 - 17th
Having just returned from another successful sell out weekend at Bracklesham I had to edit this site straightaway as I knew loads of
you would be looking and checking up on me. So here we go............We had a fantastic three days of music and fun made possible
by a group of people dedicated to enjoying themselves. The staff and facitilies at South Downs together with Dave Paisley,
Cardy & Coke, Country Company, Sean Wilson, Shawn Cuddy, InCline, Pam & Johnny, John C King, Capricorn and Frank McCaffrey
all helped to make it a weekend to remember. We even had a panto performed admirably by the entertainments staff which was so very funny, last year many missed it by going shopping but this year the concert hall was absolutely packed. We must, once again thank
Stan, Debbie, Marti, Jay, Charlotte and the rest of the cast for making us laugh so much. The Valentine weekend in 2009 was well sold
before we left home but the few spaces left were snapped up very quickly and that now is sold out The dates for our early "Christmas Cracker Weekend next year are October 30th - November 2nd. Watch this site for acts, so far confirmed, Pat Jordan & Finians Rainbow, Frank McCaffrey
Raymond Froggatt, Steve Scott Changes, Cardy & Coke but many more top class artists in the pipeline. Pat & Phyllis, congratulations to you on
winning two free places for next year. Our thanks to each and every one of you and to Antony and his staff for all their help and support. I am sure
our pictures will show all, there is a complete album on the gallery page.
Have a look on www.youtube.com/nettlebedaccipiter where you will find two video clips of the weekend
